Be A Party Animal for Fur Angels
As you celebrate this New Year's Eve, be a Party Animal for Fur Angels. Ask friends and families to make a donation to ring in the New Year. A benefactor has agreed to match your donation and everyone has or knows someone who has a fur angel. Dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, turtles, wildlife along with birds and reptiles.
Help Us Make A Brighter Future For Animals
As our family approaches the end of one year and the beginning of the next we always take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re headed and that of course includes caring for our fur angels. This past year has been a hard one for the animal kingdom and the natural world we share with them. A year full of triumphs and tragedies, hopes fulfilled and dreams shattered.
Countdown to New Years
With the glow of Christmas just behind us and New Years just around the corner, in these troubled times, animals need our help now more than ever before. The good news is that the more and more people are joining us to work ever closer for the day when the pointless abuse of animals will no longer be tolerated, as we work to build and sustain a truly “humane society.”
Best wishes for Peace on Earth
“We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate for having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein do we err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings: they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.” Henry Beston
Happy Holidays - Merry Christmas
The kindness and generosity of caring people like you means The Humane Society of Canada can help even more animals during this Christmas Season and the Holidays. On behalf of the animals a heartfelt thanks.
