Animal welfare allegations concerning Guzoo Farm, Three Hills, Alberta,

animal in zoo

The Humane Society of Canada welcomes the decision to not renew the licence for Guzoo Farms. However, we are concerned that the decomissioning period of one week will not be sufficient time to place these animals in new and appropriate facilities.

Please read our letter to Premier Ed Stelmach in regard to this issue.

Earlier in March, Michael O'Sullivan, Chairman & CEO of the Humane Society of Canada spoke directly with the Office of Premier Ed Stelmach on the need to close this facility and conduct a full investigation of the property; he followed up with a letter March 30th following new information, one on March 29th as well as a letter on March 28th.

In the interim, Premier Stelmach can be reached by phone : 780 427-2251 or by fax : 780 427-1349 and by e mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
