Brandy is a neutered male from Tiverton. He was born July 20, 2000 and he is a typical tricolor - he has a unique stripe up

He has not been exposed to children. He does not have housetraining errors, chew things, or dig holes, or try to get into the garbage. He is fine with visiting dogs, but he barks at any cat he sees in his yard. He is a typical beagle that is quiet until he sees something to stir his concern, then he barks. He has not been exposed to livestock. He is either in the house or he is tied when outside. He sleeps in his crate. He is left for 3-4 hours on an average day. If his owner goes away for the night then his sister looks after the dog in its own home. Brandy is free fed - i would suggest he be given a weight management food instead 2x a day. He is not given an opportunity to chase cars, bikes or people as he is chained when outside. This is safest for beagles. He barks at the passerbys. He has not been in a car recently. He loves be chased, and can sit, shake a paw, and stay with constant reinforcement. He gets very excited when approaching people and dogs on lead. If owner stops to talk to someone walking by he sniffs their pant leg and hand (if presented) and then just tries to continue walking if they stay to chat for a bit. He shows no interest in them after first smelling them. Their thinking is that he is looking for a snack from them. When people walk by with another dog he pulls towards them and barks and growls and his tail is stiff and curved upwards. If someone goes by jogging, roller-blading or on a bike he also pulls towards them as if to chase them. As far as trying to fight he never has. He actually retreats if confronted by an aggressive dog, regardless of the size. This pet is up to date with routine shots.
