The National, September 12, 2009 - The use of endangered wood to make elegant furniture and hardwood floors for homes in the US, Europe and Middle East is encouraging illegal logging, which the World Bank estimates costs more than US$10 billion (Dh36.73bn) in lost sales and assets every year.
